Anthony Parasole

A key figure behind the resurgence of NYC dance music in the 2000s, Anthony Parasole needs no introduction. His work charts the reemergence of a distinctly New York techno sound: raw, explicitly gestural, and channeling the very real underground music he experienced coming up in the five boroughs. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Anthony has a lifelong love affair with electronic music, listening to early dance tracks from New York, Chicago, Detroit, plus witnessing firsthand NYC’s world-famous hip hop scene, whose gritty street culture foundationally influenced his personal style to this day. These facts emanate from his discography, littered with classics on top labels such as Ostgut Ton, Dekmantel, and MDR, as well as his own The Corner and Deconstruct Music.

With the launch of his FULL EFX project on legendary NYC imprint L.I.E.S., Anthony brings his influences full circle on the fullest expression of his sound yet. Fans of his established techno style will love much here, with some of his most punishing material ever, but the point of the project is musical sprawl, and he spreads out through the deep house he initially made his mark with and into idm, off-tempo experiments, many featuring his own mutated vocals for extra personal touch.
